Transform lives with Marci's story of navigating overwhelm and her life-changing approach to cultivating abundance in 7 key areas of life

Marci has decades of speaking experience and can quickly engage with listeners and bring individuals into the conversation, whether speaking before a group of 2, 20, or 200.

Marci has been called to talk in English or Japanese at schools, local community centers, municipal international associations, and professional networking associations.

She has also had:

  • Several interviews
  • Worked with the US Embassy in Japan on videos
  • Served as a guest correspondent for a TV program on NHK World

She has recently been interviewed on the podcast, Ikigai with Jennifer Shinkai, discussing the Japanese concept of yoyu and Ikigai in daily life.

Marci can attend media engagements to answer several questions such as:

  • "What is the concept of yoyu?"
  • "How do Japanese people use the word yoyu?"
  • "What are the 7 key areas of yoyu?"
  • "How can this mindset of yoyu be applied to our lives?"

In addition to this, after decades of work and her experience in writing Finding Yoyu, Marci offers a unique approach to multiple different subjects:

  1. Japan and the Japanese Concept of Yoyu
Raised in the U.S., Marci has lived in Japan for 30 years —more than half her lifetime. Fluent in Japanese language and culture, she has used the Japanese word and concept of "yoyu" as her own personal compass in life. For over 10 years, she has shared and witnessed the positive impact of yoyu and intends to share this new, life-changing concept with a wider audience. It's time to bring yoyu to the rest of the world.
  2. Overwhelm
As a coach, business owner, wife, daughter, and emerging author, Marci keenly understands overwhelm and what it feels like when you don’t have yoyu/abundance in any of the 7 key areas of life. With her speaking and coaching experiences, Marci can help others find the energy to thrive even in potentially overwhelming situations.
  3. Self-Awareness and Self-Help
As an experienced coach and author of the book Finding Yoyu, which focuses on self-awareness and self-care, Marci inspires others to cultivate more mindfulness and to take responsibility for their self-regulation and self-care.
  4. Transformation
"What if your transformation was only one step away?" Although transformation is often viewed as a long, dreary process wrought with pain, struggle, and monumental effort, Marci encourages her audience to embrace their transformation and fly.
  5. Mindsets
Marci is a huge believer in the power of mindsets. With her 20+ years of entrepreneurship and learning to live and work in Japan with yoyu, a mindset centered around the Japanese word "yoyu", Marci guides her audience to the idea of living a life full of abundance and how finding ways to shift their mindset can help them thrive.
  6. Caregiving
According to Caregiving in the U.S. 2020, 1 in 5 people in the U.S. is currently serving as an informal caregiver. As our population ages, we’ll see more families doing the same. Marci draws from her own personal experiences in caretaking for her father-in-law as he struggled with Alzheimer’s, and how she continued showing up for her family without losing herself.

Whether you intend to talk about yoyu or not, Marci's unique life and background allows her to support a wide variety of topics in whatever media engagements she joins.
