Trust your internal mapping system

Trust your internal mapping system. | An intuitive message brought to you with love, light and blessings from Marci Kobayashi at marcikobayashi.com

We all have our own internal mapping system. Some people call it gut instinct or even intuition. For me it is a quiet knowing in my chest or belly. I’m very aware of it and yet whenever it’s time to make a decision, I find myself asking friends and family for advice. I shut out the feeling in my stomach and ask for their input.

Even though they know me well and want what is best for me, sometimes their advice is varied. It’s confusing. So what do I do? I know what I should do…and sometimes it is difficult.

Sometimes it is difficult for me to listen to and trust what I already know inside to be true. When I do listen and act on it, I am often surprised at how easy everything becomes.

And then…the funny part is that because it suddenly seems too easy, I make it difficult. I get into analyzing the why of it.

I had a strong reminder from my guides this week. Although I recognize it is vital to my growth to look at all perspectives and get as much understanding out of every situation as possible, sometimes I don’t need to know exactly why it feels right or not.

Sometimes it is enough to simply trust – to trust and act on the internal mapping system guiding me on this path I am walking.

About the Author:

Hi! I’m Marci. I’ve lived in Japan for over 30 years, blending tech, language, and healing in my work. Through caregiving for my father-in-law with Alzheimer’s and supporting my husband’s cancer recovery, I discovered the importance of yoyu—having the time, energy, and emotional reserves to thrive. Now, I share these insights through writing, coaching, and creative projects. My upcoming memoir, Otosan, tells the story of those five transformative years. Let’s connect and create more yoyu in our lives!
