You will identify and clarify each step as you begin walking it
Taking the time to identify and clarify each step in my path moving forward is useful. I like to set a goal and then work backwards mapping out the steps required in order for me to achieve it. I feel in control when I have a clear plan in front of me. The thing is, sometimes I can’t see clearly what steps I need to take until I start walking the path.
The quote card I’m sharing today is from an intuitive reading I did about 18 months ago. At the time I was feeling stuck trying to figure out how to present myself online especially the intuitive readings and my love for building websites. It has been a circuitous path. I’ve purchased numerous domain names and even built out three other websites to try and contain these two sides of me. Today, everything is back here in one place. My virtual home.
I’m sure I’m not alone. Have you ever started with one idea, then changed direction several times until you discover you are back to the original idea? Could I have saved myself time and effort? Maybe. Should I feel bad that I spent so much time on building other websites and brands I no longer plan to use? Nope! Though I don’t want to repeat the process, I’m grateful to have more clarity today for how I want to show up here on this site because of it.
Generally speaking, I still believe it is useful to have goals or outcomes to work towards. The thing I’ve learned from the last 18 months is that sometimes I don’t know clearly what my goal is let alone what the next step is until I start walking the path. I can chew on ideas in my head for months without making progress. Or, I can start walking the path. When I do, I have to listen to my heart and allow for adjustments. Sometimes the goal is clear. Sometimes the next step is clearer.
