Reconciliation with your selves

You are walking this path towards reconciliation with your selves. Open your eyes now. | A message brought to you with love, light and blessings from Marci Kobayashi at marcikobayashi.com

Are you whole and complete? I’ve been living with different kinds of duality or separation for as long as I can remember. I set a distinction between my physical and spiritual selves long ago – my everyday human experience vs what goes on in my head and heart.

Maintaining this separation no longer serves me. It makes me weary. Even after recognizing this, it hasn’t been easy to simply merge the two. I’ve kept those two selves separate for so long.

The message from my guides this week included a sentence about reconciliation:

You are walking this path towards reconciliation with your selves. Open your eyes now.

For me “reconciliation” has the nuance of recovering something lost or misplaced. I am recovering bits and pieces of my soul and bringing them together again to be whole in the human experience.

The key for me is to remember this is a path. I am on a path. I have not arrived and I do not need to expect all my selves to suddenly merge into one. It is a process. I choose to open my eyes now, recognize the different aspects of self which I am projecting and gently, gently merge them into one.

About the Author:

Hi! I’m Marci. I’ve lived in Japan for over 30 years, blending tech, language, and healing in my work. Through caregiving for my father-in-law with Alzheimer’s and supporting my husband’s cancer recovery, I discovered the importance of yoyu—having the time, energy, and emotional reserves to thrive. Now, I share these insights through writing, coaching, and creative projects. My upcoming memoir, Otosan, tells the story of those five transformative years. Let’s connect and create more yoyu in our lives!
